Thurso West is a friendly and caring church where all are welcome to join us in traditional but innovative worship.

The Church of Scotland shares much of its history with the reformed churches of Europe. Throughout the years since the Reformation we have shared ideas, preachers, aspirations and difficulties together. The 21st Century brings a whole host of new challenges that we all must face together as churches in Europe, and the World Mission council is dedicated to walking alongside, learning from and working with our European partners individually as well as in European forums such as the Conference of European Churches. From time to time, ministers from our partner churches seek to come and serve for between one and three years as a minister in a Scottish congregation. Through the Ministries Council in partnership with the World Mission Council, we are delighted to have secured the services of a partner minister and welcome our new minister from the Czech Republic, Rev Ida Tenglerova and her family.
